Obviously, from the picture, it isn't a boot - it is a shoe - as it has no ankle support. If you are doing serious hiking you should get a proper boot with ankle support, but for day hiking in light/intermediate terrain, or just casual wear, this is a great shoe.
I'd never heard of Merrells until I got these shoes on a recommendation. First I was impressed on my commutes to central London - amazed how easy the journey was because the shoe was so light and comfortable. These are now my shoes of choice, especially when out walking in the hills and by the river. Try them.
For years I have been looking for hiking shoes that fit properly, shoes that are comfortable, shoes that are durable and shoes that are good value.I'd have paid ten times the price for s Mauritius .....great for walking in bad weather (especially the expected snow and ice). A bit tight on my instep, but I'm hoping they'll stretch with wear.
I bought these as a winter version of my Skechers GO Walk 2 Trainers Womens which I have worn all summer and which I absolutely adore. These are a little more substantial with a thicker sole, more weather-proof upper sides and with a memory foam inner sole. They are extremely comfortable - like walking on air - and I am sure the get hindi unch of misfits that break into high security buildings on purpose as a security check, to make sure that no one else can. 'Whistler' is a classic, and totally beleivable as the blind smartass with superb hearing. The soundtrack builds the drama and emotion perfectly, with clangy piano and drum rolls when you least expect them. It's a movie you can watch over and over, without worrying that you know the ending. It's great to watch just for the photography which sets a style for the film - slick and sexy in an unintentional way. Definately one to get on video.
The film grabs the viewer from the first scene. Robert Redford and his supporting cast shows what a broad range of talent is necessary to handle the roles. Each is a social malcontent, yet wholly professional as they address the questions posed by clients and circumstances. Among them, David Strathairn stands out. Comparing his presentation with his base commander role in Memphis Belle shows the depth of his abilities. As a blind techie relying on hearing alone, his www.theexpedition.org nt beat it at the price.The shoe is slightly flexible so they're better for walking in, the Shimanos were so stiff that walking - or pushing a loaded bike- uphill was painful and my feet would slip out of the shoes. I'll probably pick up the normal touring version of these shoes as well.As far as the way they look goes Muddyfox have been kind and not splashed their eye-strainingly bad colour palette all over them and opted for a sober grey with a small blue accent on the heel.Muddyfox's deeply ugly paw print logo (It's a cat paw print! An actual fox print looks totally different and a lot cooler IMHO) is not splashed all over the shoe with only a tiny logo on the side of the shoe and incorporated into a large light reflective patch on the back (an improvement on the pin-prick sized reflective spots on the back of the Shimanos), useful for those who .

This would have been ideal as a limited edition DVD packaged with the 'Becoming X' CD. All the video's are here (Tesko Suicide, 6 Underground, Spin Spin Sugar and Post Modern Sleeze) in all their glorious Kelli (Ali the Tigermouth) Dayton charm. However, there is one strange addition to this DVD compilation. 'Low Five'? is that really Sneaker Pimps? it's not anything I've ever heard from the Becoming X release, although the DVD packaging would indicate otherwise. It would appear that the remaining Pimps are not only trying to make a buck off of the dearly departed Kelli Ali, but also trying to promote the 'Splinter' CD as well. And this undercuts the whole premise of the book, which is that you don't need to look like a young, slim supermodel in order to be gorgeous. The drawings say otherwise.Whyever didn't the author include some photos, say, of the fabulous 95-year-old Iris Apfel, or Helena Bonham-Carter, or Vivienne Westwood? Here truly is a case of where one picture would be worth 1,000 words - at least.I've solved this problem for myself, though. In the last few years I've collected a number of photographs of beautiful older women, looking like individuals and ageing naturally. Among them are actresses Liv Ullman, Marina Vlady and Anna Orso; Abba singer Agnetha; and 60-plus supermodels Daphne Selfe and Ing-Marie Lamy. Google them yourself, and you'll see why they are such great role-models for us older women.And if I can do it, why couldn't the author?Could she not be bothered? Or was there a problem with copyright? Sadly Fly doesn't make half sizes. I'm 5,5 and need too shop around for good shoes,Fly Yaz are lovely but narrow and flat around front, so be prepared!Sides are quite high - you might find them digging into flesh under ankles.They may also slip off your heels when walking.I swapped for 5 and will try to stretch them a bit ( it's leather so naturally will give).No wonder they're on sale (I bought them for ￡23) Design and execution is a bit off, I suppose.
Very narrow and not an 8 compared to other fly size 8's. More like a size 7 lovely shoe and with the same wedge and heel that I find so comfortable in similar fly shoes and boots

Really happy with my purchase. I have broa isabel marant shoes around. The velcro strap has wasted away and no longer sticks, this after a month and a half. I wish I had payed a bit more and got her the hush puppies which i bought for her. lasted her for a whole year (no Joke!)

These shoes are brilliant. They are sturdy, comfy, tough, and basically indestructible. They do not get scuffed, or scratched, even after a month of 5 day a week wear. Amazingly, they costs less than flimsy shoes from Clarks or Start Rite, most of which have been reviewed as getting scuffed quite easily. I am buying a second pair of Toughees today. When my younger child starts school, I know exactly what shoes I will be getting for him!

These look lovely but they are only three quarter length which was stated on packaging and not knee length as advertised also my daughter has a very slim leg and they are rather tight to put on. Disappointed and she has never worn them.

socks are half way between ankle socks and knee high, far,far smallish head) & stay on despite her being super wriggly!!! The lenses are large enough to cover her eye area properly. They're very stylish glasses, well made, provide good sun protection & she's happy to wear them. In fact she seems very interested in how different the trees etc look through her sunglasses! She gets lots of comments from strangers of how cute they are on her. Several of my friend's babies have tried these sunglasses on and my friends have since ordered them. Highly recommended.
these are just gorgeous. My 6 month old baby just loves them. they fit her face so well. I chose them because they had bigger lenses hoping they would be more comfortable on her face, and they certainly appear to be. Highly recommend these. Prepare for cuteness overload!
Leave a terrible red mark all around my daughters eyes, but as they are on their own they are a great pair of sunglasses. Waste of money for me though as my daughter hates wearing them and takes them off straight away :( look cute

These sandals are very well made and quite pretty but very small. My normal shoe size is 6 or 6.5 or sometimes 7 depending on the make. Because I read previous reviews I ordered size 7. If I had drawn round my feet and produced a template it would have been exactly the same as the sandals. I should have ordered an 8.
