I read all the reviews on the Amazon site before purchasing this walking shoe and how helpful and correct they were. They really are the lightest and most comfortable walking shoe I have every worn. Dublin oned and I felt I was walking on a very hard surface. In the end I had to take the in soles out of my old pair just to get through my shift.Amazon kindly agreed to let me return them.
These were an emergency purchase as school shoes and have received a big thumbs up after the first day's wear of just over 8 hours. No blisters, no sore or wet feet and although a bit muddy easily cleaned and looking great for tomorrow. I should add that my daughter has a high instep and needs a wider fitting and finding shoes that fit are often nigh on impossible.Mum and daughter very happy!!
I have no complaints about these sketchers. Had a few pairs of s best charities a super sturdy non slip sole. The depth of the sole provides uber-comfort to the balls of your feet. The deep v-cut vamp at the front if the shoe keeps them on nice and snug even though there are no fastenings. The mushroom colour is a great neutral. I will be looking to buy these in other colours too!

These are incredibly comfy shoes, although quite a narrow fit (I have narrow feet anyway) and they can come up small, so I suggest trying them on in a shop first before ordering online.I have the normal Salomon Speedcross 3's which are good for summer and spring, but are not weather proof enough for the several inches of standing water on the trail at this time of year. The GTX version offers the weather proofing needed, although on a long run when socks may g.
hoteles best isism, I took the advice from other purchasers and went up a size, normally I wear a 5 shoe and went for a 6 in the Merrell which is perfect with a walking sock. I am sold on this shoe and will strongly recommend them to my walking friends.
Sadly had to send these shoes back.Kept slipping of my feet.Although they were comfortable and looked durable to do the job. My last Merrel shoes lasted 5 years.

My only 'tiny' gripe is...there was a dollop of glue on the front of one of the trainers that I cannot seem to get off...but it hasn't bothered her.... it is me being picky :) Still....I don't think this should be the case with the quality of Vans as none of her other pairs have had glue on them.Still.......Vans are a great brand and do last a good while. These are the second pair of this style I have bought as they are so comfy, they look great and wear in really quickly. One tip though- buy some cheap insoles for them and replace every few months to stop them getting stinky.

Certainly made all the difference when I did an 18.5 mile training walk for the Moonwalk at the weekend - very good arch support and relieved 98% of the pain I'd felt before without them.
After trying several different things in my shoes for plantar fascilitis , I was recommended these , and I have found them easy to fit and they have been the only things that have alleviated some of the pain, I ended up buying another pair so I could alternate , would buy again definately .
I have fairly big feet so it was great to find these and they give good arch support which if you are a big guy really helps with well a lot! You can easily cut it down to size with the lines marked if need be and for me it fit just perfect into the shoe once I cut it to the right size as per the instructions.

Extremely cn size 12 which were short in the toe so went up a size to 13. These are slightly too big but nothing a decent pair of socks won't fix.

I take a regular size 5 but having read reviews that these were on the small size and given the option I ordered a 5 and a half size online and was delivered a size 39 in European sizes. They were too long and my toes were slipping forward when I walked. I returned them and reordered the size 5 (size 38 in European sizes) which is ok but a tiny bit tight for me in the width. I'm hoping they will stretch as they are suede which usually gives after some wear. I love Fitflops and have several pairs of flipflops and boots which are about all I ever wear now so I hope my first pair of sneakers will not let me down!

Somebody reviewed this item before saying they come up large - so I went for it. I bought the largest size they sell- I am size 8.5 usually, so I got 8. They don't come up large!! They are very tight. Only just fit enough to wear briefly - I bought them for a training display at Crufts, but I won't be able to wear them all day, only for the 20 min displays. They are good looking shoes though!
I am keeping the one star just in case it isn't as good as it looks.
