I haven't read this book as I bought it for my son as a birthday present. He is the sneaker collector in the family, he has been a huge fan of sneakers since before the days of 'Air Jordan's'! He has been collecting sneakers since he was in high school, and I bought him this catalogue just about the time he graduated from college (2005) and he told me that he loved it! The book reviews all kinds of sneakers, with a short history of each as well as a description of how the different models came into being. He must have over twenty pairs of sneakers that Sofia heavy on her feet
These shoes where for my daughyer to start school in she loved them but they scuffed at the front and then the black leather has pealed off.Not a good buy.
It completely tore in front just after 1 week of school and looks bad after wearing. I had to buy a new one.
My daughter seems quite happy but the shoes scuffed at the toes very quickly. I ordered the matte black to try to avoid this but have been sent the patent version. As she will grow out of them quick I didn't send them back. They are a nice design but a bit too wide for my daughter's feet which make her a bit clumpy when she walks.
This is first time ive purchased my daughters school shoes online as I want them to fit we used kitesurfing gear ed them on Sunday and they arrived today on Tuesday. Excellent shoes and service. The advice re sizing is a must. I am a size 7 and these are 8 and a perfect fit so order the next size up. They have a great rotation pad on toe section and are extremely light. Perfect.
I bought these for zumba lessons and was really pleased with them, they are lightweight but support your feet. They allow your feet to move easily when twisting and turning so put less strain on your knees. I would say go for a size bigger than you usually wear as they seem to come up on the small size. Really pleased with my purchase.
Ordered these for Zumba ... and they rock!! Delivered the following day, I really can't fault them for the price. They are very lightweight and allow great movement. I read some of the other reviews and it's true, you do need to order one size bigger than you take. Very comfy and bouncy. Enjoy!

As for the fit I have a broken toe and find peep toes very hard to wear ... But these are lovely . They fit really well and fit the description exactly . I can't wait to wear them on my big day . LOVE these shoes. They fit beautifully and are very comfortable and extremely stylish. I have only worn them twice and both times was bombarded with compliments from my friends!! To keep them fresh I would recommend wearing little trainer socks with them as they tend to make your feet a bit moist in hot weather! Highly recommended, especially as they were a BARGAIN!!

Excellent fitting, these were a replacement for the same shoe in brown which were the wrong size - one shoe was half a size smaller than the other. Wore them for the first time today and couldn't be more pleased. The now perfect! They are the comfiest shoes I have ever bought - it is like wearing your favourite pair of slippers all day long. A little tighter than previous purchase of Fly London. However seeing how the first pair streched after 10 or so wears, was very happy to see tight fit!! If you go over the Time Limit with the adhesion don't worry, just put a hair dryer over both surfaces, which will re-activate the cement on both surfaces before putting them together.

But the rest of the shoe isn't, not least because much of the upper is made of suede. Which seems to slightly contradict the all-weather aspect of the 'Weathertite' name. Still, I suppose they could keep the wet out even if they can't be bunged into the machine along with your slippers etc. I've sprayed these with suede protector for good measure anyway.'Cochineal' is an odd desription for the pink colour; squished beetle can't be the MOST appealing colour to liken to.In pink/grey the pink trim is fairly minimal as you can hopefully see from my upped pictures.Overall, I'd say that these were a great shoe. Comfy, supportive and light with a fairly generic but perfectly acceptable style.And exceptionally good value.I have more pics ready for when the system allows me to up them.
Bought as a present for my daughter and was really impressed with the album. It's really lovely and I really like the year on sneakers I own. There's far more impressive stuff out there.As I said, the book looks great: it's a hardback, with a nice, slightly foam padded cover and the pictures are clean, crisp, well shot, and wonderful. In fact you can't fault the book itself... at least not physically.However, where the book lets itself down is in its content. As the name suggests it's just a collection of - or rather, a look back at - the classic trainer designs and brands from over the years. Perhaps I'm being harsh (the book's title suggests that's all it is), as it doesn't claim to be anything else, but for me, the world of trainers and sneaker culture offers so much more than a www.martiblair.com as paper after a single use. No memory sole effect at all.
